RIP Marvin Joshua Hodges

Friday I found out that one of my oldest and closest friends died. He
was only 25. He was one of the best people I have ever know. His heart
was close to God, and was the type of man who would do anything for
anyone. They say the good die young... but its just not fair. I'm doing
okay... but just trying to figure out why God would let him die. He just
graduated, wanted to be a pastor... he had so much more to do. He would
have touched so many more lives... he was the best of us...

Rest In Peace My Friend... I will see you again in paradise. I love you.
Have always loved you. You will be missed.

"I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet he will live: and whoever liveth and believeth in me will never die." John 11:25-26

I knew Joshua in his early years at Southwestern Adventist University. What little I knew of him I loved. I will miss him. I hoped to see him again here someday. But, I thank God that he died already. We will see him again.

I did not know this young man, but I read his obituary and know this life has lost a great young man, and the next life is blessed with one.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
